Selena Gomez’s “Cosmic Silver Gloss” Nails Are a Switch Up From Classic Fall Shades

A swipe of a glossy, shimmery lip gloss can be the ultimate confidence booster. Even when you’re not wearing full glam, the tiny hit of shine can pull your look together effortlessly. Selena Gomez’s latest manicure had this same vibe, putting a shimmery twist on the trendy lip gloss manicure.

Lip gloss nails feature a sheer wash of pale pink polish that is reminiscent of your favorite lip gloss. It blurs, smooths, and adds the tiniest touch of color to the nails just like lip gloss does. Gomez recently revived the classic pink manicure at the London Film Festival, and remixed the classic polish for her appearance at the Academy Museum Gala for a fun take on the polished style.

Manicurist Tom Bachik posted a close-up of Gomez’s nails on Instagram, calling them her “cosmic silver gloss” manicure. It looks like Bachik painted on the actor’s natural nails, which were shaped in her go-to rounded almond style. Lucky for us, he also revealed the exact polish he used to get the look. He started by applying Olive & June’s Cuticle Remover, then he shaped her nails using his Tweezerman & Tom Bachik Nail Care Travel Set. Then, he reached for Olive & June’s Cosmic Silver polish, which launches on October 24. The look was complete with the brand’s Cuticle Serum.

Gomez’s silver glossy nails paired so well with her silver jewelry to bring a bit of shine to her velvet navy Alaïa gown. For the occasion, the Only Murders In The Building star kept the rest of her makeup pared-back and simple, with a gray blended-out smoky eye being the star of her glam, courtesy of Hung Vanngo. Hairstylist Marissa Marino shaped Gomez’s flippy bob, which was one of the biggest beauty hits of the night.
